Little known fact: Sally Singer, Vogue‘s digital creative director, is a bit of a jumpsuit junky. How many denim jumpsuits does Sally have, exactly? Five. Which, come on, is a lot. Some are from the British label Aries, others are from 6397… Her favorite right now is this one made of lightweight chambray from Citizens of Humanity. “I like that it gives you a slouchy-but-long line,” she said when we photographed her in her vogue.com office, where, on the walls, she’d applied decal illustrations by her friend Todd Selby of all her favorite things – popcorn, cats, a London cabmen’s shack, and the German philosopher Walter Benjamin, to start. “If the leg is pegged, it’s a way to stay very relaxed, but lean,” she said while sliding the charms on her necklaces side to side, as she does. “This jumpsuit has all of the things that I normally wouldn’t like, such as washing, and yet, it’s so relaxed that it’s just fine.”

For work Sally wore her jumpsuit with lace up heels from Rodarte, delicate layers of gold jewelry, and a matte red lip by NARS. A week earlier she put it on for dinner at the Polo Lounge with a pair of Givenchy kitten-heel sandals. “Because I thought you could always wear denim to Ralph,” she said. “It was a big night out for the Citizens jumpsuit.” Big because it was a fashionable evening full of fashionable people, but even that’s not Tallulah’s limit, she thinks. “I might also wear it with a Tabitha Simmons shoe and an oversized blazer from the Japanese workwear collection Kolor – that’s how this jumpsuit could go to the couture.” It’s just three weeks away. To Sally, we say, Do it!
