Jean Machines on Parade in Paris

Compared to last season, the fall 2015 collections were definitely denim-lite. Not so on the street, though! In Paris, everyone from Russian entrepreneur Miroslava Duma to French model Jeanne Damas was wearing jeans – and jean jackets, dresses, and skirts. Belted, belled, and bigger than your boyfriend’s…tight, tailored, and trimmed with leather… I spotted the best inspirations for how to wear denim NOW in the front row. It was so much fun! The pieces editors picked to wear came as much from big labels (Chloé, Kenzo, Acne Studios), as they did vintage stores. Women mixed denim with spring’s 70s-heavy handbags and silhouettes; they rocked curvier pairs and patches. Sarah Harris, the fashion features director for British Vogue, wore the Paige Verdugo skinnies she’s been known to love, Style.com’s Rachael Wang had her J Brand x Simone Rocha ruffle-front jacket on, I buttoned-up my favorite AMO Babes, and we all got the job done!

Want to get the look? I did my best to hunt down what my fellow editors were wearing that week so we can all do denim like they did during #PFW. The best part? The variety! Each piece is distinct and full of individual style. Find yours and wear it forever…
