Well, Re/Done has done it again. Today, right on the heels of their collaboration with model Elsa Hosk, the Los Angeles-based Levi’s retrofitters launched a capsule of new jeans with jewelry designer Pamela Love. “Everyone assumes that jewelry designers will embellish denim with metal, or chains, or stud them up,” said Pamela on the phone yesterday. “But I wanted to do something comfortable and effortless that reflects my own personal taste and what I like to wear.” So, she decorated blue and black Re/Dones with textiles from Latin America, where she has traveled quite a bit ( when we spoke she’d just returned from friend Irene Neuwirth‘s Muertos de los Dias-themed birthday bash in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, actually). The traditional serape fabrics, used to patch holes and decorate the waistband and ankle seams of these Re/Dones, are totally Pam.

The Re/Done I Pamela Love jeans come in two of the brand’s most popular styles – the high rise and straight skinny. “Their straight skinny is my preferred fit,” Pamela said. “I’m just partial to it. I really had no idea it was going to turn into the only jean I wear when I first tried it a year ago!” Nor did she have any idea what to expect when she visited co-founders Sean Barron and Jamie Mazur’s Re/Done hub in L.A. to design this collection. “It was crazy!” she exclaimed. “They have a lot of jeans.” And more and more, there’s something for everyone.
